4G Versus Wi-Max
Hi Everybody
As you know about the technology will coming soon & is called 4G('G' Generation).This will be the upgrade version of 3G(used for telecommunication).
Technologies in communication keep changing rapidly.You must aware of '2G' & '3G'.
First generation was based on voice-only analogue cellular systems.
2nd generation was based on digital transmission technology.
3G focused on integration of voice,data & multimedia transmissions at greater speeds.
DIFFERENCES ON VIEWS: A Number of different definations & views on 4G have been put forth by many companies and countries.
The international telecommunications union(ITU) defines 4G technology as providing data transfer rates of 1GBps when stationary & 100Mbps in a mobile enviornment.japans NTT docomo has introduced a concept called 'MAGIC' & its vision for 4G mobile multimedia;anytime,anywhere,global mobility support,integrated wireless solution and customised personal service.
European Commision: 4G would ensure seamless mobile services across an intermeshed web of wireless systems & networks from private to public intra to wide area.
Complications of 3G:The third generation wireless communication technologies aimed at supporting voice,data & Multimediaover wireless networks with higher transmission speeds ,but fail to do so difficulty of moving across different wireless networks seamlessly.
Limitation of the spectrum and its allocation.data and speed between fixed network and sub networks.
But 4G is touted as being to able overcome these limitations by improvement in areas of wireless networks like capacity,bandwidth,mobility,wider area coverege & service properties(cost & quality).
4G PROMISE: major change is the deployment of 4G will be wider broadband for mobile wireless communication.Focus on optimised transmission of multimedia content through seamless networks covering wide areas .Support for fixed wireless networks in addition to other cellular services.4G will offer broader bandwidth smooth and quick transport of data and multimedia over a large number of wi-fi devices and networks.Quicker transfer of data/call in progress from one network to another network without communication break , means 4G will be multi-tasking.4G is capable of transmission rates of of upto 100mbps in stationary condition and 20mbps at 100 miles an hour sounding like sending a entire cd in one minute over the network.But my opinion is different it will not possible in near future
